Todays Blog – A New Poem:
My last path
But perhaps not
Remember a Quaker meditation
where the image – impulse – idea
whole cloth came
‘Let death go
no worry
You’ll simply go on as usual
Worry about the transition
You’ll want the transition
– living to death –
to be as painless,
as pain free as possible.’
Where did ‘the voice in my head?’
that assurance
come from?
All I know was comfort
I didn’t even know I needed.
