TRAUMA - can be a teacher

TRAUMA

“You don’t control what has happened, but you control how you respond.”
Info@dailystoic.com – 3-21-24

Undergoing trauma can be great for teaching us new avenues of thinking and behaving. Finding new/different ways of being in the world. Also having a few new guidelines can help. I was introduced to Marcus Aurelius and his “Meditations” at a writing retreat years ago.

Now – coming across Daily Stoic I’m regaining an old/new look at this Stoic immediate way of dealing with life.

And speaking of playing with the new/old – I play with Haiku:

Haiku
To live
is to accept
everything gone
in an instant.
